New Byte Size Coaching Site Launched 

This week we finally signed off on the new version of our Byte Size Coaching site.  Not that many of our BSC clubs going to notice.  Well, not for the moment anyway. 

We want to make sure that when we change it is as seamless as possible.  And right now would not be a good time for most clubs as nearly all of them are at the busiest time of the year - the fall season. 

As well, it is going to require a re-launch of the program to the coaches as login information - User Names and Passwords - will change.  The perfect time is the start of a new season. 

But we will start the process right away.  So that clubs can determine just when they want to make the switch (from Version Two to Version 3) and what options and customization choices they will want - and there will be many with the new system. 

The timing is just about perfect.  We have those dark winter months to lock ourselves in the computer room and re-invigorate the program. 

However, we are already using the program.  www.WaitersFC.Com may never see much action on the field, but we will sort out all the problems in the locker room before we go out to play. 

As well, a small number of clubs have volunteered to work with us on the change over - effective immediately. 

So the true re-launch will come when our Byte Size Coaching clubs tell us.  In the meantime, Version 2 keeps on working until we put it out to grass (if you will excuse the pun!). 

Shadow Play Upgraded 

The section on Shadow Play has just been upgraded on the existing Byte Size Coaching site.  This incredibly useful coaching method for establishing patterns of play, style of play and the team system of play is used in one form or other by just about every professional team in the world. 

Tony Waiters has developed his own version of Shadow Play from when he was first introduced to the method in the early 70's. 

Shadow Play has been put into the existing BSC Version 2 so every club can get it - even before we change to Version 3.  There is one little quirk, however.  For some of the sites you might be asked to put in your User Name and Password a second time.

To find Shadow Play - go into the U13 - U18 program.  Click the drop down button on the top left - Development Focus. 

Select Crossing from the drop-down menu.  

Then go to Select One to the right of the Development Focus and click on the drop down menu. 

Select Tactical. 

Hit the Select button (this is where it might ask you for your User Name & Password again). 

Then select Shadow Play. 

In the upgraded version we will put Shadow Play, Styles of Play, Systems of Play, Set Plays and Principles of Play each with their own button for easier access.
